 At The Crazy Greek we believe that relationships, family, and community are built around sharing our culture and delicious meals. This is what our YiaYia taught us is most important in life. 

Our family imigrated to America over 65 years ago all the way from the beautiful island of Crete. Growing up Greek in America gave George, our co-owner, the opportunity to work Grecian festivals and dinners at St. John The Baptist Greek Orthodox church in Cedar Rapids as a child. George spent many summers watching and soaking up everything he could about his culture and Greek cuisine.  Our business is inspired by our late YiaYia and Theo and is a continued connection to our culture.

 George's wife and co-owner, Allison, has a passion for cooking and serving others which shines through in her dedication to creating delicious meals that not only satisfy hunger but are good for the soul. The joy she finds in perfecting these classic dishes embodies the true spirit of Greek hospitality.
